Before Presson was an app, it was a LinkedIn post. No grand vision. No pitch deck. Just a thought that landed differently than expected. This is that post — the one that started it all.

I work somewhere at the intersection of tech, finance, strategy and trading.

I'm always busy.

I have kids — 4 of them (all amazing btw).

I have a full-time job. Sometimes I enjoy it and other times... mneh not so much. Let's face it, that's pretty normal and honestly idc if you disagree (you do you).

I have a solid set of interests. These interests extend beyond making money for my employer — although I also like to do that too.

I desire to stay healthy, to look good and generally feel better about myself.

I run (SLOWLY and mostly after my kids...) and sometimes for fun.

I lift — my DL, squat and bench are probably better than yours (sorry bro DYEL?)

I code and every now and then I read a good book (nowhere near enough).

All standard stuff so far, right? Yeah, yeah... so far, so mid. By now you're probably wondering "So, what's your point, Lewis?".

Well, here's the thing... none of this is remarkable. That's kind of the point. Most days aren't breakthroughs. Most weeks aren't wins. Show up, do the work, go again.

And somehow, over time, that becomes something.

Press on.

That was it. That was the post. No call to action. No "link in bio". Just a feeling I couldn't shake — that the world is obsessed with the highlight reel, and nobody talks about the unremarkable Tuesday where you just... did the thing.

Turns out a lot of people felt the same way. And that's where Presson came from. Not from a startup incubator or a product roadmap. From a LinkedIn post about being aggressively average on most days and being fine with it.

Every feature we've built since traces back to this idea. Track effort, not output. Celebrate showing up, not breaking through. Because the breakthrough days are rare — and if your system only works on those days, your system doesn't work.

This post is here as a reminder. To us, and to anyone using the app. You don't need to be remarkable today. You just need to press on.
